Papers:

Papers for publication in the Journal bear the contributors' names and their addresses, as well as the names and addresses of the laboratories where work have been performed.

They should be as concise as possible and each should be accompanied by a statement from the contributor that the contents have neither been published in extenso nor under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that if accepted for publication in the Journal undertaking not to have them published elsewhere without the consent of the Editorial Board. It should also bear an indication of name and address of person to whom the proof of paper is to be sent.

 Manuscripts:

Manuscripts must represent original work, and may be written in English. Papers are to be typed on one side only, on white paper of A4 quatro size. All text should be typed double-space. This rule includes the biography, the summary quotations, as well as table and figure explanations.

Papers not written in Arabic should be accompanied by a summary in Arabic of not more than 200 words to be typed on a separate sheet. A summary in the language of the original writing should be put at the beginning of the paper.

The text should be appended with the acknowledgement(s), if any, followed by a list of references. Contributors' names should appear at the top of the text, followed by their addresses on a separate line. Places of figures should be indicated.

The little of the paper must be brief as possible. Subject headings should be limited to about 45 characters. The little headings are to be typed in capital letters. Footnotes are to be avoided. Follow the Oxford Dictionary for English spelling.

Papers should be written by an IPM, or compatible, computer using Microsoft Word programme (under Windows). A floppy disk (3.5 inch) included a copy of the papers, is required. Also, two copies of the manuscripts in final form for printing should be submitted.

Maps, Drawings and Diagrams:

Maps, Drawings should be prepared on white drawing paper or on tracing cloth and drawn in Indian ink. Photographs should be sharp and clear and printed on glossy paper. Contributors should present the minimum number of plates consistent with adequate presentation of the subject. The finished size of the plates will be 11 X 20 cm at maximum. Lettering on maps, graphs, etc. should be of such size that they will not be less than 2 mm high after reduction. In case of special-size map, arrangement for folding may be made. Magnifications should correspond to the finished size of the plate and not to the original size as submitted. Photographs are best submitted in the exact size which is desired to be reproduced. All unnecessary parts should be trimmed away.
